Challenge Partners
St Aloysius is part of Challenge Partners which is a national network of schools who work together to improve outcomes for all children. Schools work with each other to share good and innovative practice to reduce educational inequality and enhance the life chances of all children.
‘By bringing together leaders nationally, regionally and locally we create strong peer networks and work together to address issues facing the education system’
Schools are divided into regional hubs and St Aloysius is part of the Aspire Hub which serves schools in the North West of England.
Quality Assurance Review
This is a three-day, rigorous peer evaluation of teaching and learning, curriculum and outcomes, and leadership at all levels. It has a sharp focus on the experience of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds or with additional needs
The review process is led by a lead reviewer and senior leaders from schools from across the national network. It is a collaborative process between the host school and the reviewers. Through working together to identify good practice we celebrate ‘what went well’ (WWW) and ‘even better if’ (EBI).
Each school hosts an annual review and reciprocates by sending senior leaders to review other schools. It provides value professional development for all leaders involved and allows ideas and innovative practice to be shared.
Challenge Partners Message
Challenge Partners is a charity working to advance education for the public benefit. We are not a statutory accountability body. The QA Review does not audit schools’ safeguarding or behaviour policies and practices. However, Lead Reviewers and visiting reviewers are expected to follow Challenge Partners’ safeguarding policy and report any concerns as set out in the procedures.
