School Games

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games PLATINUM award for the 3rd consecutive year.

The School Games Mark is a Government – led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and in the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders, and officials who made our competitions possible.

This year we are delighted to have been awarded the highest level, Platinum Mark Award again for the third consecutive year after highlighting how we have developed and co-created our Physical Education offer with our children. The initiative primarily targeted the “Health and Wellbeing” outcome of the School Games framework, aiming to instill good habits and promote physical activity among young people. The initiative we have developed here at St Aloysius allowed young people to be actively involved in the development and co-creation of our sports and physical education offer.

Platinum Mark is only awarded to schools, who have consistently achieved a Gold Mark in previous years and have shown consistent dedication to sport and activity in their region.

We are immensely proud of all our pupils and staff for their continued dedication to all aspects of school sport and exercise.
