Leadership Opportunities for Children

‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.’
-Helen Keller

At St Aloysius, we think it is really important to give our children opportunities to grow and develop as leaders in many areas of school. As leaders they are the voice of the children and help shape, develop and implement our school vision. Along the way, they develop a range of transferable skills they can use throughout their life.

Leadership is about growing into a person whom others respect and look up to, not because of authority but because of how they treat others and themselves. It is about setting a positive example and making a difference in their own unique way.

We have a range of leaders in school, some are voted for by the children, allowing the children to see how democracy works in action.

We have the following leadership roles for children in school:

  • School Council Members
  • Wellbeing Ambassadors
  • Attendance Ambassadors
  • Sports Leaders
  • Librarians
